Recycle Right, Protect What Matters
Every battery you recycle helps keep toxic waste out of our soil and water. Join the movement that's powering a cleaner, safer future.
What is Battery Bin?
Battery Bin is a youth-led nonprofit initiative focused on collecting used batteries and keeping toxic e-waste out of the environment. We work with schools, colleges, NGOs, residential societies, and businesses to build a growing network of collection points across North India — making battery recycling simple, accessible, and impactful. Every year, thousands of batteries are thrown away, polluting soil and water with harmful chemicals. Battery Bin is changing that by collecting, separating, and responsibly recycling them through authorised recycling partners. We're not just raising awareness — we're building a hands-on solution that turns everyday actions into lasting environmental change.

How It Works
Collect your batteries

Why It Matters
Batteries contain toxic metals that can pollute water and soil. Recycling even one AA battery prevents contamination of up to 100 liters of water. Small actions make a big difference!
- ✔️ Every recycled battery keeps heavy metals out of landfills
- ✔️ Supports circular economy and resource reuse
- ✔️ Protects local water, soil, and wildlife

About Us
Battery Bin is a youth-led nonprofit initiative making battery recycling easy, safe, and impactful. We place collection points in schools, colleges, NGOs, residential societies, and businesses across more than six cities in North India, helping communities recycle used batteries responsibly. Through an official partnership with Lohum Cleantech, an authorised battery recycler, every battery we collect is processed responsibly under the Battery Waste Management Rules, 2022 — protecting our environment from toxic waste and turning small actions into lasting change.
